OUR GOALS
EIT Health is a vast, vibrant community of world leading health innovators backed by the European Union. Working across borders, we bring together the brightest minds from the worlds of business, research, education and
healthcare delivery to answer some of Europe’s biggest health challenges.
Our community includes approximately 150 world-class partner organisations, and works across borders to connect business, research and education. We call this meeting point the ‚’knowledge triangle’, where life-changing innovation happens.
EIT Health Spain aims to be the reference body to improve the quality of life of European citizens that mobilises the agents of health innovation in Spain, combining research, education and business, with the ability to drive and generate technology transfer, social and economic impact in the country.

Women Entrepreneurship Bootcamp – IESE Business School
The Women Entrepreneurship Bootcamp connects early-stage, women-led or co-led healthcare start-ups to an unparalleled network of mentors to nurture and support rapid growth.
CaixaResearch Validate – La Caixa Foundation
The Validate Call contributes to transfer the results of research to society and the market and encourages the creation of new products and companies related to life and health sciences. Provides support to early stage biomedical research projects (TRL 1-4) to help them validate their asset and define their valorisation plan.

OPEN INNOVATION
Beyond Rheum is an open innovation programme led by EIT Health Spain, with the support of Novartis, through Novartis BIOME.
The objective of Beyond Rheum is to identify, validate and pilot viable innovative solutions, ready for market access and scale-up, that respond to the real needs of patients with axial spondyloarthritis (AxSpA) during their care process.
AxSpA is a chronic inflammatory disease that primarily affects the joints of the spine and sacroiliac joints, causing pain, significant limitation of mobility and a major impact on the patient’s quality of life.
