SUCCESS STORIES
Every day EIT Health innovation projects, education programmes and entrepreneurship activities are catalysing healthcare innovation accross Europe. We are proud to shocase some of the Success Stories from Spain in 2018.
Peptomyc
Developing a new, first-in-class, cancer therapy using innovative anti-Myc peptides.

We could make a huge difference in cancer therapy. EIT Health supported us all along, from the very beginning. We have participated in several EIT Health programmes and got granted with funding but, more important, we received mentorship from very good experts.

Laura Soucek
CEO, Peptomyc
ICREA Research Professor at VHIR
miniQ
Expanding miniQ innovation, a web-based clinical decision support system to help older patients and their doctors optimise prescriptions and to avoid potential complications caused by drug treatments, to the European market.

We have involved the most relevant stakeholders in the healthcare system to implement a new screening tool to improve drug prescription and drug conciliation, which can be used by patients at home.

Elena Arredondo
Innovation Manager
Hospital Clínico San Carlos
HOOP 2.0
Seeking to market a solution that provides Parkinson’s patients access to cost-effective physical rehabilitation that they can do at home.

Thanks to EIT Health we had the opportunity to access to a network of stakeholders with different background and expertise, from medical to business organisation, whose combination allowed us to build a consortium that has led the success of HOOP as commercial product.

María Teresa Arredondo Waldmeyer
Life Supporting Technologies Director, UPM
ABLE Human Motion
Developing the first home use, affordable and lightweight exoskeleton that intuitively restores the ability to walk of people with lower-limb paralysis.

EIT Health helped our project since the beginning and continued helping us through several programmes. It allowed us to validate our solution not only in the local market but also outside and we now have the interest of hospitals in the US in our product.

Alfons Carnicero
CEO, ABLE Human Motion
d·HEALTH Barcelona
9-month postgraduate programme where interdisciplinary teams experience a full cycle of innovation, which includes an immersion at a hospital to identify real unmet needs.

Thanks to EIT Health our teams are able to validate their solutions in different European markets and also to meet fellows in other similar programmes throughout Europe.

Raquel Riera
